A message from the IEEE AIVR 2020 general co-chairs
We were very much looking forward to welcome you for the first time in Europe to IEEE AIVR 2020. Yet, considering your safety and the ongoing uncertainties due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided to re-organize the conference as a virtual event that will take place fully online.
Deadlines for all tracks will go through as announced, and accepted submissions will be published by IEEE (including IEEE Xplore) on schedule as planned. Details about how to present and participate during the online event in December will be announced later.
One of the biggest challenges for virtual conferences is that we all live in different time zones. To accommodate for that, we decided to extend the conference to five days (Dec 14-18, 2020) and switch from a full-day to a half-day program, allowing (almost) everyone to partake at a reasonable time (US/Americas in the morning, EU/Africa in the afternoon, Asia/Australia in the evening).
Although we are disappointed that we cannot welcome you in person, we are also excited to organize the first true virtual conference on AI and VR. We are currently evaluating various virtual events that have been going on to see what works best and what does not in order to provide you with the best possible (virtual) conference experience in December!
